Cold Weather Cats

This afternoon, I launched the Bass America on Lake Murray and tried to put my Uncle Bob on a few quick stripers or cats, but we didn't receive the first strike. After fishing cut on the bottom for a while, we switched to casting crankbaits for bass. nothing. I headed back to the lake in the evening, this time meeting my dad at Better Bait and Tackle. We put in at Jake's just in time to view a beautiful sunset and stayed long enough to catch a couple of nice eating catfish. The water stayed really calm for most of the evening until maybe 7:30pm when a slight wind appeared. Being on the water today was so refreshing. It has been a long time since I went fishing with my uncle, and i'm hoping to be able to introduce him to some big SC fish in the near future. Hanging out with my dad was, as always, awesome!
