Two weeks ago, Eric and I made the trip to Lugoff, SC to pick up the deer I took on October 29, 2005. For 16 months, I waited for "the call" from my taxidermist who was obviously "extremely busy" this past year. The 10 point, 230 pound mature buck now looks at me every time I walk in the door, reminding me of that great cold morning when before leaving the house, I leaned over, kissed her on the head and said, "I'll be back by 9am. I won't be pulling the trigger." I love it when I'm wrong!
